FISHING GEAR

Here, let's introduce a typical tackle of Hokkaido.
Please make it reference those who consider
a Eastern Hokkaido expedition.

The next thing is a strictly personal idea.
I think that there is liking, respectively.
Please take into consideration.

Fly Rods

If only one is chosen, they are 9ft, #6, and 4pc.  However, it is necessary to change speck with some point to aim at.  Especially, in Nishibetsu River, probably, a short rod is needed, since there are also many places over which a bush covers and it has hung.
Those it is considered that will have a rod made to a Eastern Hokkaido expedition need to refer to the following data.

A small small river, we call "YABU-Sawa" , they are not put in into the object,
because most of them are spawning river.

Fly line

Line form -- a weight forward and a double taper -- although whichever is sufficient, please take care about a colour.
Please avoid the line of a fluorescence colour absolutely.
Please choose a grey, moss green, Brown, etc.
Especially, special attention is required at Nishibetsu River.
I can say experientially, in the river of clear water, the colour of this line makes a fish spook easy.
A type of lines should prepare floating and sinking (uniform sink).

Probably, a leader and Tippet should just prepare 3X, 4X, and 5X.
Rod length is, 9-12ft for a general river and a lake,
9 feet or less for Spring creek.

Others

Waders: A separation type is the best.  In the mountain stream of summer, only wading boots are put on in many cases. Although what is necessary is just to wear the thing of materials, such as GOA-TECKS, at the point of heat, if the thing at the time of sliding a leg in the steep place of a flow is considered --

Dress: Avoid a showy bright color. Especially a fluorescence color is NG. Bring to one sheet excesses, such as a long sleeve, long trousers, and a jacket of fleece.

Polarization glass: Be sure to wear.  In order to protect an eye from an ultraviolet ray and to prevent an injury.  And in order to look for a fish. Amber (yellow) or the bright orange of a color will be good.

Hat: Let's wear.

Spinning Rods

A spinning rod is influenced with the lure used with a line.
It is a light tackle that I recommend you. It is pleasant to exchange with an important figure by light tackle.  However, let's set up a reel drug loosely

Line: 4-8pound
Lure: 5-10g

Lure is interesting if small minnow etc. is used.
Let's prepare both with floating and sinking.

The cautions at the time of carrying a fishing tackle into Hokkaido

Hokkaido is a dairy farm country.
Although there is no severe quarantine like a foreign country, please be careful of the following points.

Wadding Boots : Please be sure to wash finely. In particular trash seems not to be left, and a thing of felt sole, please wash with a scrubbing brush

In addition -- : others -- please also wash a thing finely and do not leave mud etc. Moreover, please wash similarly in the case of return
